Syllabus of Civil Services Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission - Preliminary and Main Examination

Syllabus for preliminary examination of Civil Services organized by Union Public Service Commission 

Civil Services Preliminary Examination Total 00 is the points which General Studies paper (general knowledge paper)  are the first general study two compulsory papers of paper Second. This exam will be objective type. Keep in mind, prelims is only a Sorting Examination, its marks are not added to the over all marks of the entire exam.

Commission ( UPSC)  has Preelims (prelims)  of General Studies Paper II (a colloquial language CSAT has been called) in 33% Minimum Qualifying Marks set. This means that its marks  will not be added to the prelims . Preelims examination (prelims exam)  total points only paper 1 issue shall added.

If you cross the cut-off marks for that year based on the evaluation of the first paper, then you will be admitted in the civil services mains exam  . But the condition is that at least 33% (66 marks) of 200 will have to be brought in Paper 2 or else you will not get admission in Mains exam.

As you know that each question paper will be of two hours duration. However, both the Civil Services (Prelims) Exam and the Civil Services (Mains) Examination for the visually impaired and unable to walk and candidates suffering from cerebral obstruction, whose inability affects their performance (writing) (disability up to minimum 40%). An additional time of twenty minutes per hour will be given.

Prelims Paper 1 Syllabus - (200 Marks) Duration: Two Hours 

• National and international current events (Current Events Of National And International Importance)
• India and Indian history of the national movement (History Of India And Indian National Movement)
• Indian and global geography - India and the world of natural, social, economic geography  (Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World)
• Indian Politics and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues etc. (Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj , Public Policy, Rights Issues, Etck)
• economic and social development, sustainable lodge a development (sustainable development), poverty, inclusion (inclusion), Demographics (Demographics) , initiatives in the social sector (Social Sector initiatives) etc.
• Environmental ecology (Environmental Ecology) , biodiversity (Bio-diversity) and climate change (Climate Change) general / burning issues
• General Science (General Science)

UPSC SYLLABUS FOR PAPER II- (200 MARKS) DURATION: TWO HOURS (NOT COUNTED FOR THE MERIT RANK IN PRELIMS BUT A QUALIFYING PAPER; JUST NEED 33% MARKS)

Preelims Paper 2 courses - (200 points) Duration: two hours (one qualifying will paper which needs 33% points)

• logical capacity And analytical ability (Logical reasoning and analytical ability)

Be aware that in objective type question papers negative marking is done for the wrong answers given by the candidate.

Negative marking = 1/3 or 0.33%

UPSC CIVIL SERVICES MAINS EXAM SYLLABUS

Syllabus of Civil Services Main Examination of
Union Public Service Commission The rank of a candidate in the Union Civil Service Examination of  Union Public Service Commissiondependsonly on the main andtotal marks of the interview  . The total marks of interview is 275 , while that of main examination is 1750.

There will be a total of nine papers in the written examination (main) mains exam  . But only 7 marks of them will be added for final merit ranking. The remaining two will be qualifying papers only.

Qualifying Paper - Paper A and Paper B (Qualifying Papers - Not counted for final ranking)

Paper - A - Indian Language - Syllabus Indian Language - Syllabus

One of the Indian languages, which is included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution, is to be selected by the candidate for Paper-A. This letter will not be compulsory for candidates residing in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim. The integer of this paper is 300 . The qualifying marks in this paper is 90 i.e. 30% .

The integer of this paper is 300 . The qualifying marks in this paper is 75 i.e. 25%.
